Sullivan Steps Up is a campaign dedicated to helping businesses and individuals in Sullivan County step up to economic opportunity. Momentum has been working with Sullivan County since January 2018 to bring this campaign to life, and it is now several months into its public-facing phase.
It is our goal that by connecting the community to information, expertise, and resources that elevate hospitality and amenities to a new level, the county will reach its full potential as an exceptional place to live, work and visit.
Momentum has begun telling the stories of business owners and businesses that are doing a successful job with customer service and community partnership. These stories have been gaining traction on social media among Sullivan County residents. These stories are one of the first steps in inspiring the businesses of Sullivan County and equipping them them with tangible tips on how to “Step Up”.
Momentum has launched the Sullivanstepsup.com landing page and has the full site under development and ready to go live the second week of June. In part, the landing page has served as a place for Sullivan County residents to endorse businesses in the community for the Step Up Award. The Sullivan County Funding Corp. has nominated 3 businesses for the first Step Up Awards to be given and the community must endorse their nominations in order for them to receive the award.
The community was introduced to the Step Up Awards on May 23rd when Sullivan Steps Up took over the morning show on Thunder 102 Radio in Monticello, NY. Steve White, CEO of the IDA, and two Step Up Award nominees, Brian Facquet of Prohibition Distillery and Errol Flynn of Brandenburg Bakery, joined Ciliberto & Friends Morning Show to talk about Sullivan Steps Up and the Step Up Awards. Many residents have already endorsed these great businesses for the award, confirming their excellent customer service and contribution to the community.
We look forward to the future of Sullivan Steps Up and excitedly await the launch of the full website and the release of our campaign video in the second week of June. There is so much more to come for Sullivan Steps Up and we look forward to working with the amazing people we’ve met in Sullivan County to make it a better place.
